Specially formulated to support rabbits and guinea pigs recovering from illness or surgery. It can be fed dry alongside fresh, good-quality hay or mixed with water into a smooth paste for syringe feeding (wide-tipped syringe required, not included). This recovery formula delivers all essential vitamins and minerals, including high levels of protected vitamin C, to meet the nutritional needs of recovering small animals.

Syringe Feeding Instructions
✔ Mix 2 parts warm water to 1 part Excel DualCare
✔ Allow to soak for 3–4 minutes, then gently stir into a smooth paste
✔ Feed slowly using a wide-tipped syringe, allowing 1–2 ml at a time, giving the animal a chance to swallow
✔ Maximum: 10 ml paste per kg bodyweight per session
✔ Provide multiple feedings throughout the day as needed
✔ Always prepare fresh paste for each session and thoroughly clean the syringe afterward

Transitioning Back to Normal Feeding
As recovery progresses, gradually transition the animal to eat Excel DualCare nuggets dry. Once fully recovered, move them back onto the appropriate life stage nuggets from the Burgess Excel Feeding Plan. Fresh, good-quality hay should be available at all times to encourage natural feeding behaviour.
